MSU Athletics

People in Murray and the surrounding area are privileged to have a major NCAA Division I athletic program at Murray State University.

The program features 16 sports, including men's and women's basketball, NCAA Championship Series Football, soccer, volleyball, tennis, golf, rifle, rowing, track and field, and cross country.

The men's basketball program has a storied tradition.  It boasts a Top-25 ranking in the all-time winningest programs in college basketball.  Through the 2007-08 season, the overall record was 1374-798 (.633) spanning 80 years.

The Regional Special Events Center, home to Racer basketball, often packs crowds of 6,000 or more for the games.
Football is also a big at Murray.  The NCAA Championship Subdivision (I-AA) program has a tradition of 8 conference championships.  Roy Stewart Stadium is the home of Racer Football.
