The Regional
Special Events Center (RSEC) was completed in 1998 at the cost of
$23 million. This multipurpose facility is primarily used for
Murray State basketball but is versatile enough to house trade
shows, boat expos, and much more.
Seating
capacity ranges from 7,896 for concerts, 8,602 for basketball, and
over 9,700 for center-stage events.
The RSEC has
entertained such stars as Nelly, Larry The Cable Guy, Tim McGraw,
Disney On Ice, the Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Maya Angelo, and many
others.
The
Murray State University Men's basketball team has an incredible rich
tradition. The program is one of the Top 25 Winningest college
basketball programs of all time in NCAA Division I. The team
through the 2007-2008 season has an astonishing 119-23 record inside
the RSEC.
